1961 - Bob Dylan played a showcase at New York's Carnegie Hall to 53 people.
1963 - The Beatles hacen su primera presentacion en el programa de la ITV 'Ready Steady Go!'
1966 - The Byrds se presentan en la pimera de trece noches en The Village Gate, en NY.
1967 – Comienza una gira por reino Unido en Londres en el Finsbury Park, el paquete incluye a: Traffic, The Young Rascals, Vanilla Fudge, Art y  Keith West.
1969, The Beatles 'Abbey Road' album went to No.1 on the UK chart. The final studio recordings from the group featured two George Harrison songs 'Something' and 'Here Comes The Sun' plus 'Come Together', 'Sun King' and 'Golden Slumbers.' The cover supposedly contained clues adding to the ‘Paul Is Dead’ phenomenon: Paul is barefoot and the car number plate ‘LMW 281F’ supposedly referred to the fact that McCartney would be 28 years old if he was still alive. ‘LMW’ was said to stand for ‘Linda McCartney Weeps.’ And the four Beatles, represent; the priest (John, dressed in white), the Undertaker (Ringo in a black suit), the Corpse (Paul, in a suit but barefoot), and the Gravedigger (George, in jeans and a denim work shirt).
1970 - Janis Joplin es hallada muerta en su habitacion en el Landmark Hotel en Hollywood despues de una sobredosis de heroina.
1971 - Pink Floyd se presenta en la primera de cuatro noches en el Anfiteatro Romano en Pompeya, las presentaciones quedaron grabadas en el album  Live in Pompeii.
1973 - The BBC trasnmite la edicion numero 500 del programa Top Of The Pops, se presentan: Slade, Gary Glitter y  The Osmonds.
1975 - Pink Floyd tiene el primer lugar en las listas de albums con  'Wish You Were Here'. El album es un tribute a es ex-compañero Syd Barrett, 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'.
1980 - Carly Simon colapsa en el escenario en su presentacion en Pittsburgh por agotamiento nervioso.
1982 - The Smiths hacen su debut en el Ritz en Manchester, como banda soporte para Blue Rondo A La Turk.
1983 - Gary Numan se presenta en The Odeon, en Birmingham.
2004 – Muere el bajista canadiense Bruce Palmer, (The Mynah Birds, The Buffalo Springfield), tambien trabajo con Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young y Neil Young.
2005 – Muere Mike Gibbins, bateria en Badfinger.
2007 – El productor Phil Spector es puesto otra vez en juicio por el asesinato de Lana Clarkson despues de un primer juicio. El primer juicio favorecia su encarcelamiento. La corte superior de Los Angeles ordeno otra audiencia para el 23 de Octubre.
2007 – Los Rolling Stones imponene un Nuevo record set a new record for por recaudacion en una gira con su A Bigger Bang tour. La gira comenzo en 2005 y termino agosto de 2007 y ganaraon £247 millones. Los Stones tocaron ante mas de 3.5 millones de personas en 113 presentaciones. El record anterior era de U2 con la gira Vertigo tour, de 2005  a 2006, con £220 millones.
